Definition
Having or characterized by two heads or head-like structures.
Etymology
From Greek 'diplos' (double) + 'kephale' (head). This anatomical or zoological descriptor emerged when scientists needed terminology for organisms or structures with paired or double heads.
Kelly Says
While conjoined twins with two heads are extremely rare in humans, 'diplocephalous' describes various animals and mutations where double-headed or paired cranial structures naturally occur.
